Cajun Cabbage Jambalaya

Ingredients :
  • one pound spicy pork sausage
  • one onion (chopped)
  • four garlic cloves (minced)
  • one green bell pepper
  • one cup celery
  • one head green cabbage
  • one can (fourteen ounces) diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • one cup chicken broth
  • half cup of water
  • one cup uncooked brown basmati rice
  • one tablespoon chilli powder
  • half teaspoon of salt
  • one teaspoon paprika
  • half teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper.
Instructions :
In a large saucepan, cook the pork sausage with the onion and garlic until browned.
Stir in green pepper and celery; cook and stir for three more minutes.
Add all rest ingredients & bring to a boil.
Covering, reduce heat to low, & cook, stir occasionally, to rice is tender, for forty to fifty minutes.
