Baked Mac And Cheese

INGREDIENTS :

  • about 10oz Macaroni Pasta
  • 2.5 Cups Water
  • 2.5 Cups Chicken Broth
  • Pinch of Salt

CHEESE SAUCE:

  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2.5 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 Cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 4oz Cream Cheese (Optional, makes sauce thicker)
  • 1/2 Tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika

INSTRUCTIONS :

Can leave a bit of extra shredded cheese on the side to add to middle and top when putting together or shred more

Bake at 375F for 20 min

  1. Boil macaroni pasta in water and chicken broth w pinch of salt mix, according to box instructions for time length
  2. While macaroni cooks, make cheese sauce in pot over med heat, by melting ingredients together
  3. When macaroni is done, drain and set aside
  4. Butter/grease cooking pan or cast iron skillet
  5. One even layer of macaroni followed by some cheese sauce to coat noodles. Spread sauce evenly, followed by a layer of shredded mozzarella and cheddar
  6. Followed by another layer of macaroni spread evenly, followed by more sauce and shredded cheese
  7. Bake in oven until cheese on top begins to brown a bit
